The Angel Behind Pambra’s
There are people who come into our lives for a reason, even if they're only with us for a short time. Looking back on my journey, I know without a doubt that one of those people was my Angel.
After spending more than a year working with an invention company and seeing very little progress, I began wondering if my dream would ever become a reality. I had invested time, money, and hope, but nothing seemed to be moving forward. Like many entrepreneurs, I found myself standing at the crossroads between giving up and pressing on.
Around that time, my husband had shared my invention with people he worked with. One of his supervisors became interested and repeatedly offered to invest in the business. At first, I wasn't interested. I didn't want to owe anyone. I wanted this dream to succeed on its own.
Then one evening everything changed.
I overheard my husband giving out our checking account information over the phone. His boss had made the decision to help anyway. I remember feeling both overwhelmed and excited. Someone believed in my idea enough to take a chance on it.
When the time came to discuss repayment, I expected a business negotiation.
Instead, I asked him what he wanted in return.
His answer surprised me.
"Nothing."
I couldn't believe it.
Surely everyone wanted something.
Again I asked.
Again he smiled and simply said, "I am your Angel."
He explained that he wanted no ownership, no recognition, and no public credit. If anything happened to him, he didn't want my company tied to an investor. His only desire was to help someone else's dream become reality.
That level of generosity changed my life forever.
Almost overnight I found myself stepping into a world I had never imagined. I became president of a company. There was an office, a warehouse, decisions to make, contractors to hire, and responsibilities I had never dreamed I'd carry.
Whenever I doubted myself, my Angel reminded me that I was capable.
His favorite words were simple:
"You're doing just fine."
Those words became the confidence I leaned on when I wasn't sure of myself.
Sometimes success isn't built by one person.
Sometimes it begins because someone chooses to believe in you before you've learned to believe in yourself.
I will always be grateful for the man who simply wanted to be known as my Angel.
